Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for PracticalForge Software.

This Privacy Policy explains how PracticalForge Software handles website data, support communication, purchases, licensing, and Secure Password Vault data.

Core privacy principle

Your vault data stays on your own Windows computer.

Secure Password Vault is designed as an offline-first Windows desktop tool. Your saved passwords, secure notes, bank details, personal records, 2FA backup codes, vault files, backups, and private vault contents are stored locally on your own computer.

PracticalForge Software does not upload, store, read, sell, or share your vault contents.

What we do not collect

Private vault data is not collected by PracticalForge Software.

PracticalForge Software does not need your private vault data to provide normal product support, licensing, or website access.

No saved passwords collected

PracticalForge Software does not collect or store the passwords you save inside Secure Password Vault.

No master password collected

PracticalForge Software does not collect, store, reset, or recover your master password or vault password.

No vault contents collected

Secure notes, bank details, personal records, lists, 2FA backup codes, and private vault contents remain on your own device.

No vault backups collected

PracticalForge Software does not ask users to send vault backups, vault files, exported browser CSV files, or private vault data.

No cloud password account

Secure Password Vault is not a cloud password manager and does not require a cloud account for vault storage.

No sale of vault data

PracticalForge Software does not sell user vault data, because it does not collect user vault data.

License activation

Paid editions use internet access only for license activation and verification.

Secure Password Vault Standard and Pro may connect online to verify a license key provided after purchase. This process is used to activate and verify the purchased edition.

Your vault contents are not uploaded during license activation or license verification.
